The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

Objective

The aim of the training is to enable delegates to develop a greater understanding of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the associated standards that contribute to the design, build, maintenance and operation of machinery used within the European Economic Area.

By the end of the course, the participants will

  • be aware of the significant changes contained within the new Machinery Directive
  • determine which machinery falls under the requirements of the new Machinery Directive in order to ascertain how it applies to their plant and equipment
  • understand the administrative requirements for compliance to the new Directive, including an introduction to the principal standards to achieve compliance

Agenda/Contents

This training will provide an insight on how machine manufacturers and end users are affected by the changes of the new Directive and describes the compliance processes and new standards which need to be applied after December 29th 2009.
