CE Marking and Machinery Regulations

Objective

The aim of the course is to enable delegates to develop a detailed understanding of the key European Directives, in particular the Machinery Directive, in relation to CE marking.

What you can expect

By the end of the course, the participants will

  • gain the know how to determine which machinery is subject to CE Marking legislation
  • be aware of the responsibilities of machine manufacturers, importers and designers with regards to CE Marking
  • have a clear understanding of the CE Marking process and the associated technical requirements to ensure compliance
  • be informed of the main directives application to CE Marking and their requirements: Machinery, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Low Voltage (LVD), Pressure Equipment (PED) and Atmosphere Explosives (ATEX)

This training on CE marking will provide a detailed review of the requirements of the main directive in relation to CE Marking and explains in detail the process required to CE Mark a machine.

  • The process and procedures for CE Marking a machine
  • Administrative and documentation requirements, such as Declaration of Conformity, Technical Construction File (TCF) and the CE plate
