How can I overcome USB connection drops with PNOZmulti?

Problems have been reported concerning the stability of the USB communication and PNOZmulti. These may result from a failed synchronisation between hardware and PNOZmulti Configurator (in connection with the usage of the standard USB driver delivered by the Windows operating system).

Immediate steps:

  • Make sure to use a professional shielded USB cable up to 3 meters length. The shorter the cable the better the protection against influence from outside.
  • Unplug / replug USB cable
  • Restart PNOZmulti Configurator
  • Restart Windows Operating System

To generally counteract this problem its recommended to use PNOZmulti Configurator version 8.1.1 or higher!
