Human-robot collaboration (Cobots)

In human-robot collaboration robots and men are collaborating in a joint working environment without protective devices. Therefore, demands on the safety-related part of the application increase. Safe interaction between man and robot increasingly demands new technologies and solutions.

To verify the required safety level, the entire safety function from the sensor to the logic and beyond to the actuator must be considered. All these factors have to interact in a coordinated manner, to guarantee safe human-robot collaboration .

Cyber-Physical System (CPS)

Cyber-physical systemsare created when networking embedded systems by wired or wireless communication networks. Essential components are mobile and movable facilities, devices and machines - including robots - embedded systems and networked objects (internet of things). Transfer and exchange of data and inspection and/or control are made via an infrastructure such as the internet in real-time.
