Light beam devices PSENopt, also called light curtains, can be used in all areas of industry where a barrier-free safety concept is to be implemented. Thanks to their compact dimensions and ease of installation, the light grids enable an ergonomic work environment. This is the case, for example, when operator intervention is required as part of each cycle, such as insertion work, or the infeed and outfeed of material.

You can choose between Type 2/Type 4 light beam devices in accordance with EN/IEC 61496-1/-2 and versions for finger, hand and body protection, in lengths from 15 cm to 180 cm. In addition to the standard light grids, all advanced light beam devices offer expanded functionalities such as muting, blanking and cascading. Slimline light beam devices PSENopt slim can be used for space-critical applications.

Accessories range from deviating mirrors, post protectors for shock, collision and vibration protection, protective IP6K9K housing through to test rods.

Light beam devices for any application area

Light grids protect both workers and capital goods – safely, efficiently and economically. An invisible protected field of infrared beams protects the danger zones. If a light beam is broken it will immediately trigger a safe shutdown command.

The light beam device PSENopt achieves protection type IP6K9K in protective housings and is therefore suitable for humid environments where there are high demands on hygiene. The mirrors enable the light grid beams to be easily deflected, securing a larger protected field without using additional light grids. Thanks to post protectors, our light beam devices are protected against shock, collision or vibration even in rugged industrial environments.


Muting, blanking and cascading with PSENopt Advanced

Discover the multifunctionality of our light grids PSENopt Advanced! Muting, blanking and/or cascading are possible with just one light grid. These functions open up a wide range of possibilities for optimum integration of the light grids PSENopt:

  • Muting to distinguish between a person and material

The light grids with muting function are suitable for transporting material into and out of a hazardous area, when loading pallets for example. Muting is the safe, automatic and temporary suspension of a protective device.

  • Blanking for a flexible, uninterrupted production process

The light grid uses the blanking function to enable simple machine designs. Your production process can be flexible and adaptable to different production materials, or it can quickly be converted, as required!

  • Cascading function for effective protection against encroachment into and behind the protected area

Adjacent protected fields can easily be safeguarded. This type of cascading enables the front, top and back of a machine to be safeguarded using just a single light grid system.
