Electrical safety in accordance with EN 60947-5
|
The standard EN 60947-5-1 applies for control circuit devices and switching elements, signalling, interlock etc. on relays and switchgear. It applies for control circuit devices with a rated voltage of up to 1000 VAC (up to 1000 Hz) or 600 VDC. The standard covers specific types of control circuit devies, such as:
|
- Manually operated auxiliary current switches, e.g. pushbuttons, rotary switches, foot switches;
- Electromagnetically operated auxiliary current switches, delayed or instantaneous, e.g. auxiliary contactors;
- Automatically operated auxiliary current switches such as limiters, controllers, monitors, e.g. pressure-controlled auxiliary current switches;
- Temperature-dependent auxiliary current switches (thermostats), program switches;
- Position switches, e.g. auxiliary current switches operated via a machine part or mechanism;
- Devices assigned within the control circuit, e.g. lamps.
