On 23.3.2012 the European Commission published a new edition of the Official Journal for the Machinery Directive. This was the second edition of an Official Journal for the Machinery Directive published inside 4 weeks.
This new edition replaces the Official Journal 2012/C 61/01 as well as the Official Journal 2011/C 338/01 and is distributed under the number 2012/C 87/01.
The revisions can be divided into the following 3 areas:

2. Expired transition periods
- Expired in the past 6 months or due to expire in the near future
3. New standards on other subjects
- Railways
- Earthworks
- Handheld machinery
- Agricultural and forestry tractors
- Domestic use
